Small things with great love♥

As the Christmas selling season raps up in the next few days, I'm looking forward to not so many trips to the post office.  I am not complaining, no way!  I still am giddy over each and every sale I make.  I look forward to Christmas brake.  Where daily grind routines come to a halt such as post office, gym, kids to school etc..The husband will be off and we can all enjoy each other and our Christmas time.  I am feeling so thankful for my family and hug and kiss them so often enjoying all my moments with them.
I love the idea of stitching a little quote or mantra on to a vintage doily.  Some thing to have out and remind you of what is important or maybe something that inspires you!  I did this little project a while back.
First you sketch out your quote or mantra on to plain paper.

Flip your paper and trace your words with a sulky transfer pen.

Flip your saying right side up again, center it on your doily and iron.

 Voila! Start stitching :)
I hope you all have a great holiday and enjoy your families too!!

Taking Inventory

Looking at my shop today and noticing I'm low on inventory!  Time to start taking some pictures and listing new items.  Time to put some stuff on clearance too!!  Now only if the sun would come out so I could take some decent pictures.  I was working on the last of my owl pillows last night in fall-ish colors.
I've been stitching up a bunch of new eyeglass/sunglass pouches.  They are ready for beads and assembly.  What about this cute gal...
She is a very small version of a pillow I've done before.  Another craft fair approaching, I'm trying to stock up on ornaments.  I am loving the fall weather.  Our leaves are dropping like crazy now.
Kids are all about Halloween costumes. Does your family have any fall traditions?  We are shaking things up this year and doing things a little different.  Kids are getting older and some places we usually visit for fall fun are just to popular.....to many people and lots of traffic.  So here's to doing things a little different :)  Have a great weekend!

What a Wonderful Experience!

Craft fair low down!
Me on the left and my Sis in-law (angel♥) on the right.
Our day started at 3:45am....yes am. Geesh.
But us girls were ready for adventure and were up for what ever, ready to have fun and enjoy this new experience together.
We had to be on site at 5:00am.  Tons of vendors, 200 or more.

We had loads of coffee!  And got to work.  Set up was a breeze, thankfully there were many volunteers to help unload.  Once the canopy (aka: pain in the a$$) was up, we were golden.
I got to work!

I met so many lovely vendors!  The talent was amazing at this craft fair.  I was a little intimidated walking around checking out other crafters works of art.  But the people came and they bought! And they bought my stuff?!??  Wow!

It was only my second craft fair.  My confidence has increased and I applied for another fair.
I love to create, to be able to sell my goods is a bonus!  So the circle of creating and selling and enjoying continues.....

A new bag for Me!

I have been making lots of bags/purses lately.  I call my purses, bags or totes because I make them a little on the larger side.  They are not so dainty.  Well I finally got around to making myself a new purse!  I've been sitting on this fabric for awhile, waiting to be inspired.  Well it has finally happened.  I sketched out the shape and and got to cutting and finally sewing. Here it is! What do you think?!

Echino fabric, strappy part is chocolate linen.

I am excited and proud *_* of this project.  I will be fine tuning my pattern and make another to sell with the extra fabric. Some other fun gal purses below embellished with a bow.  What do you prefer, magnetic snap or a Velcro closure?  Magnetic snaps look nicer, but I always feel for fabric purses they are to magneticky?!  When ever opening the magnetic snap, I sometimes feel like I'm gonna rip the fabric or pull the snap off.  I'm easy and just prefer Velcro.

Hope your having a great week!  Back to sewing!

Working my fingers to the bone♥

Well hello! I've been stitching and sewing my buns off.  I'm loving it!  A craft show in the near future....3 weeks.  I make these little stitched and stuffed Christmas ornaments.  They have a theme, vintage or things inspired by the past.  Be it old embroidery patterns or things that trigger old memories.  Well they just make me smile.  Like little jewels, colorful and nostalgic.

Rotary telephone, mason jar, and vintage embroidery pattern-adorable strawberry.

I can not leave out the cassette tapes, jam jars and the VW bug.  What makes you nostalgic?

My love of things old fashioned runs deep.  I came across this adorable mustache fabric on Etsy.  I love it.  I was sure that I would for some reason not sell this purse and keep it for my very own.  Not the case.  It sold with in 24 hours.  Wowza! I'm making another.....to keep or not to keep.  I think I shall just by more fabric just in case :)

Making my purses on the large side because that's how I like mine!  More room for everybody else's crap!!
Oi!  I did not notice the dried up piece of cereal on my bum in this pic!  lol!
Working on some fall inspired stuff for my show.  Pillow owls, pumpkins etc.
Back to purse making and ornament stuffing......little moments stuffed in between the most important and lovely family moments which take up a lot more pieces of the pie♥

Back in the groove of things!

Well hello there!  How was your summer break?  My kids are back in school (me: jumping for joy!), and I have reclaimed my computer and creative space.  I did not create that much this summer feeling stifled by my lovely children and their summer time agendas.  So I went with it, did not put up a fight.  We had a great summer break.  My son actually said, "This was the best summer ever mom!". We camped and visited the ocean.  There we many sleep overs and visits to any vicinity that holds water which they could swim in.  Now I'm trying to get inspired again!  I'm not having hard time with this at all :)

Capitola, Ca - Our trip to the ocean!

Lots of movies under the stars this summer :)

Camping lakeside with lots of fishing and rafting as well as sun soaking and hiking.

Feeding a few million geese.

I've been making Kindle/E-reader covers!
I love the Melody Miller typewriter fabric!

I made my daughter this exact cover for her Kindle, so cute.  I love the farm girl fabric!
Well I hope you have a great week and I will be staying in touch a little more often now!
